Would You Invite the Prophet (S) to YOUR house???

okey. so assuming that our beloved Prophet (pbuh) knows everything that we have in the modern world (u know: TV, stereos, posters etc..), he (or some other honorable pious dude/ette) suddenly rocks up to our house expecting to be invited in and treated as a guest. Would u do it? Ofcourse, any sane Muslim would!!!!!! But think again, if u dont his frown to fall upon your belongings.

Seriously, u have to think, is our houses the type you would invite someone mega-religious to? its an interesting question if u think about it. The Prophet (pbuh) himself didnt like all things expensive and stylish, though it is not notallowed [i need to rephrase that lol!!], and lived a very simple and humble life. He was presented a choice between having mountains of gold at his disposal, but he chose to "be hungry one day, so i may be patient, and eat the next, so i may be grateful" (something to that effect).

Having Posters of celebrities and singers and bands are ok if u dont know the significance of what it means. but now I'M gonna tell you, so then it wont be ok, and you'll see everything from an objectuve point of view. ok, well, lets say u buy Girlfriend, and OMG!!! a poster of Justin Timberlake or Avril Lavigne or Rihanna or LinkinPark or some model or celebrity. wow. well posters are meant to be put up on a wall, arnt they??? so u put it up, and every night before u go to sleep, u see their plastic smile, and for some reason it make u smile as u go to sleep. well anyways, u see that picture everyday, and suddenly your whole wall starts filling up with all these people youve never met, and you stare at them everyday, and your friends do to and so on and so forth. you would think that, its a kind of obsession.....

and when it come to obsession there are many things.

Like tv. sitting on the same chair or sofa, at the same time, for a particular day, watching that episode of Supernatural or Neighbours, like your life depends on it. and it kinda does coz, if u dont watch that Tv show, all ur friends will be talking about "OMG, Dean looked so hot in that scene!!" or "i Cant believe shes preganant" and u'll be sitting like a monkey, having no idea. isnt that a kind of obsession. worship? [NOOOOOOOOO...........]

Even a computer. When you download, "Age Of Empires", or "F.E.A.R" or put Runescape to your desktop, and play it every single day, Every hour, every minute, with only toilet breaks and prayer breaks, now thats what I call OBSESSION. Its bad for your health too, for goodnesssake!!! And those are the type of games you can play forever and ever (unless you cheat)............. ????

now having hobby which your obsessed with is not bad. but there are more important things in life. more important things to worship.

so back to the point. the Sheikh of the local mousque knocks on the door, while you were watching TV, while listening to some "Low" on full volume, and u see him through the window. *gasp!!!* and hes waiting.........
u quickly turn of the TV (we wouldnt want him watching Big Brother would we?) turn off the damned stereo (or listening to: "Give that Big booty a smack"), hide all the pictures (And you have millions of em, all crowded everywhere), wear something reasonable (coz lets say you were wearing shorts), and take a deep breath, and open the door.
"Assalamu-alaikum, sorry i couldnt open the door fast enough i had to uh.."
And you realise he's not even there. suppose it took to long stashing the photos.

so think about it. make your house something you would be proud to invite the religious peeps, even the Prophet (pbuh)! it'll be worth it, coz if you take away that huge 15" plasma the living room will look a lot less crowded.and those photos. also if u took down those posters, u'll feel a lot less obsessofied. keep the computer ofcourse, because if you dont, you wont be able to read my crazy rantings!!!

::...:::....::Im sorry if i offended anyone or anything, this is just my point of view on stuff, and by the way you have to a muslim if you wanna understand how important the Prophet (pbuh) is and seriously, im really sorry if i hurt ur feelings but this is a blog and its freedom of speech, so comment if u like and i'll reply. but no hatemail please!!!::......:::.....::
